The Cooper Union School of Art Saturday Program

/ Outreach Program

Saturday Program is a community of students, artists and educators.

We welcome you.

Saturday Program offers free classes in: Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture, Sound Composition, Architecture and Portfolio Preparation.

Each year, over 200 N.Y.C. public high school students enroll.

Courses meet Saturdays, 10am-5pm, at the Cooper Union college campus in the East Village of NYC.

Saturday classes run for 2 semesters each school year (October-December, and January- April).

All classes include ‘hands-on’ studio work (with free classroom supplies), creative writing workshops, and field trips to cultural sites.

In 1968, college students created Cooper Union’s Saturday Program. Since then, more than 8,000 young people have participated and gone on to higher education.  Many alumni enter Arts careers.
